My unit would not work with 3rd.gen.ipod even though manufacturer states that it should work with any ipod that uses 30pin connector. Also, audio controls at steering wheel won't operate unit. On a positive note, audio quality is excellent and access of menus from radio is a good feature.

The kit was complete and ready to install. Removing the dash was the only problem. [...] Works well. I actually have more control of my iPod classic using the car stereo, but finding selections is easier directly on the iPod. This kit allows both!I ordered a part that I did not need, so I guess the description on-line could have been a little clearer. But I included it in my order because it was a small $$ adder.AutoToys delivered as promised; I'll use them again without question.

I wanted a good and easy way to listen to podcasts while commuting to/from work. I have an 80GB Ipod classic with lots of podcasts that I update weekly. Use to use a top of the line FM converter but over the 50 miles I drive each way I was constantly having to change channels to find a clear band ... and the clarity was never very good.I have had this ipod adapter unit installed for less than a week, and feel like I am still figuring out the best ways to use it. My observations to date:> Sound quality is excellent> Access to equalizer is quick and easy> Finding specific music using the radio tuner is not as easy or quick as I would like. >Locating podcasts is difficult through the radio tuner. I use the ipod wheel to find podcasts.I believe that there is an easier way to find music and podcasts, but I have not figured out how yet.This is the only unit that I found to fit my Hyundai Sante Fe -- seems like the price was on the high end. I expected to pay around $75.
