2002-2005 Vehicles: The C2R-VW does not provide a Parking Brake or Reverse output triggers. These signals are unavailable on the data bus. All signals are provided for the 2005.5-2008 (New Body Style) VW vehicles. 2002-2005 Vehicles: You must be replacing a factory Double-DIN radio. If the vehicle came equipped with a Single-DIN radio, the C2R-VW is not compatible.

Lots of wires to manage but reading the instructions before starting out makes it trivial.
The only major downside, is the interface box, when combined with the CAN steering wheel i/f and the i/f for the remote make for an awful lot of boxes to find room for inside the dash.
Surface-mount and dual-side technology would cut the size down to something managable.
