Just a word of warning - find out about possible installation problems BEFORE your purchase. I would only recommend this product if my friend was installing it himself. The installation costs were higher than the product.

As usual, it was tough to take the radio out from my Mazda RX-8, no surprise.
Installation of the AXXESS harness to the back of the radio was a breeze, adjusting the wires in the back took some experimenting because they have to be routed JUST SO...there is very little room behind the radio. No other wires to be connected to the car :-)
The interface worked perfectly from the start. Supposedly only 9.55 is supportedI but I have the factory radio with updated firmware 9.67 and it worked without a hitch. The radio displays as it is described and the additional display as well. Two things not documented, I was overjoyed to discover:
1.The additional display can be customized to display two fields of your choice from what is playing.
2.Although I haven't figured out how, but you can retain control on the iPod itself when you connect while it is playing, the display shows iPod Ctrl and only the audio is routed to the car radio.
Overall, ***** five stars, I am very happy with finally having control of my iPod from the steering and the car radio.

After looking at different sites to figure out how to take my stereo apart, the installation was very straightforward and simple and it works and sounds great.
Also, on my car, it displays MD and counts up and resets randomly but doesn't affect the music.
